Bagwell, Raines, and Pudge
Hi Love,
Pudge Rodriguez, Jeff Bagwell and Tim Raines made it into the Baseball Hall of Fame!!! What fun there is in Cooperstown!
I remember the first game Pudge called for the Texas Rangers, remember? He had to take his cue from the managers and kept looking over his left shoulder to see that he called the right stuff. I remember... We stayed up that night in our small house on Pecan Drive and watched the game on our only TV in the livingroom. We didn't have any furniture, except for a kitchen chair that we moved from the kitchen. You sat while I curled up on the floor at your feet, remember? We knew at that time that we were seeing something great, and we were right. He had a wonderful career with the Rangers and even had a year with the Astros. We saw him pitch in person and on TV.
I wish you were here to share this with. We would have enjoyed knowing that our "Little Pudge" was all grown up.
I love you more than I can comprehend that one soul could love another. Having this small blog in which to communicate with you gives me a connection to you that helps with the hurt. I know it isn't time for us to be together, yet. But the small things I remember about you still warm my heart.
Until we meet again....
